The Brazilian attacker, who missed the first two games of January due to a rather suspicious injury, just as he did with a claimed back injury in August, flew to Spain on Saturday evening after the two clubs agreed a deal.
Philippe Coutinho‘s transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona has been confirmed, completing a British record move for a reported £142 million.
Coutinho joined Liverpool from Inter Milan five years ago for £8.5 million and made 201 appearances for the Reds, scoring 54 goals.
A statement from Liverpool FC reads:
Liverpool FC can confirm Philippe Coutinho will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with FC Barcelona, subject to medical and agreement of personal terms.
The player now has permission to complete the usual formalities to conclude the transfer immediately.
Coutinho will be unveiled as a Barcelona player this weekend and could make his debut next Wednesday.
What do you think? After the arrival of the Brazilian, the barcelona will be the dominant club in the La Liga?
